Xbox and Microsoft are shifting up a gear in preparation for Xbox‘s 20th Anniversary, and it’s Adidas up next in the spotlight for collaborations. Recently we saw popular donut manufacturer Krispy Kreme release a tasty treat dubbed ‘The Nexus Level’, a clever take on Xbox‘s codename, and you can even read our impressions of the sugary snack here should you wish (spoiler: it was super tasty). Adidas has announced that they’ve teamed up with the Xbox team to create a cool looking pair of sneakers called ‘The Xbox 20th Forum Tech’. We’re not entirely sure about the name, but the bright green material and lovely Xbox logo featured on the tongue is sure to go down well with fans. “The Adidas Forum Tech design balances nostalgia while embracing modern technology and is symbolic of how we look at our own Xbox history–celebrating the last 20 years and looking ahead to the limitless future of gaming” Xbox said in a blog post.

However, Xbox cleared things up a little in a blog post and The Xbox 20th Forum Tech sneakers won’t actually be made available to the general public. But don’t fret, there’s going to be more announcements soon regarding the Adidas and Xbox partnership with more trainers being available, but those released later this year WILL be commercially available. Nothing like being teased, eh? The Forum Tech shoe will most likely find its way onto eBay, so for those desperate for this illusive shoe, then be prepared to pay a hefty price until the commercial footwear comes onto shelves.
